Notes: I’ve been a Melvins fan since 1989, when I first heard the “Ozma” record— Burn the Priest even recorded the Melvins song “Honey Bucket” for our covers album (not my pick ,btw— I would have chosen “Oven”, but it’s all good.) Melvins are such an influential band that doesn’t get nearly the recognition they deserve (I mean, Kurt Cobain was their roadie back in the day.) Over the last couple of years I’ve gotten to know Buzz— we bonded over photography, and keep up with each other fairly often. Buzz is a super funny, super smart guy with some great stories from the old days (not mention amazing hair)— I shot this when I flew to Chicago to see Melvins with Ministry and C.O.C. last year.
