Notes: There is a fishing village on the edge of the jungle where friends of mine live in Ecuador. I go there fairly often to surf, as it has unbelievable waves at certain times of the year, but I also love just hanging out, talking with the locals, and eating the freshest seafood and fruit you can imagine. Each evening at sunset the fishermen bring their small boats in from a day of hard work, rolling them up the beach on palm tree logs. Time moves at a slower pace there, but people work hard for what they have. Even the little kids pitch in, helping their family bring their boat as the residents of this village have done for generations.
